Associate BD Director - Intl Arbitration

Ambition are partnering with a leading international law firm to hire an Associate Director to lead their Arbitration practice on a global basis. This role can be based in New York but will lead a team across the US and Europe, playing an influential and strategic role, working closely with senior global leaders.

We would be interested in engaging individuals with a prior experience in international arbitration and those who can demonstrate leadership qualities in leading a team. Experience of operating on a global basis would be preferred but not essential.

Key responsibilities include:

• Take ownership and lead on the BD and marketing initiatives for the arbitration group, this will include having global alignment on firmwide strategy but also overseeing more regional approaches to the core markets within the global team.
• Mentor, develop and coach individuals within the BD team, taking ownership for professional development of junior staff, including being aware of potential growth and recruitment opportunities for the function.
• Be proactive in overseeing the client relationship and development work for the arbitration piece, this will include managing and building relationships with current clients whilst also conducting research and analysis on the market for potential new opportunities.
• Collaborate with the practice leadership group to put together to piece together thought leadership pieces to cover a variety of topics to help raise the firms brand and reputation across the global.
