Associate Business Development Director - M&A

We are partnering exclusively with a leading global law firm to appoint an experienced Business Development professional to lead the business development and marketing strategy for its M&A practice.



This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to shape strategy and drive execution across the US business, while working closely with senior leadership based in New York.



We see this as an ideal opportunity for experienced Senior Business Development Managers looking to take the next step or current Associate Directors seeking to join a truly global platform.



In addition to leading the strategic direction of the practice group's business development efforts, you will oversee a US-based team and collaborate closely with colleagues across EMEA.



Core responsibilities include:

• Driving client targeting and prioritization initiatives aligned to firm strategy, ensuring effective oversight of key clients and prospects while fostering a strong culture of client listening across the business.
• Identifying and delivering opportunities to raise the profile of the M&A practice and its lawyers through client events, seminars, conferences, sponsorships, PR activity and other business development initiatives that enhance market visibility and client engagement.
• Monitoring market trends and identifying growth opportunities for the practice both regionally and globally, while supporting strategically important panel RFPs in partnership with the Global Proposals team to strengthen competitive positioning and win new business.
• Conducting research and analysis on developments across the global M&A market, providing insight and strategic recommendations to firm leadership.
