Associate BD Director - Marketing & BD Strategy

We're partnering on a rare Associate Director opportunity here in New York. The role will act as a true advisor to the CMO, taking on a range of Chief of Staff-type responsibilities across the Marketing & Business Development team.

Given the nature of the position, we're keen to speak with individuals coming from Marketing, Business Development, or Communications who are interested in shifting into a more strategic, business-facing role.

We'd also be very interested in those currently in practice management, project management, or Chief of Staff positions, particularly candidates who have experience advising C-suite stakeholders on strategy and operations.

Core responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with the CMO and senior leadership to advise upon the implementation of the Marketing & BD strategy for the firm, working closely with other senior member of the BD & Marketing function to ensure this is implemented effectively.
• Take the lead on operational management, supporting the CMO and the leadership team to enhance efficiency and effectiveness on a variety of projects and activities relating to the marketing and business development function.
• Support on the planning of firm sponsored events and advising on specific sponsorship opportunities to grow brand awareness and visibility, within this role you will also lead on building relationships with various industry groups that are of importance to the firm.
• Own the communications channels for the CMO's messaging to the marketing and business development team, alongside broader firm messaging and communications around firm news and announcements.
• In tandem with the CMO work with them on budget planning and the tracking of activities to ensure effective ROI and advise suggestion that will give the firms spend greater impact.
• Along with the firms data and insights team, pull together information and statistics that will help aid decision making for the firm and identify processes that are working well along with areas for improvement.

Given the uniqueness of this role, we're open to a broad range of backgrounds. That said, it's important that candidates have prior experience advising C-suite stakeholders, along with a strong understanding of how a partnership environment operates.

While legal sector experience would be a plus, we're equally keen to speak with individuals coming from professional services or financial services.
