Marketing & Business Development Manager (Financial Institutions & Insurance Sectors)

We are partnered with a leading global law firm in its search for a Marketing & Business Development Manager to support its Financial Institutions and Insurance sectors. This is a sector-based, global role with a strong client-facing focus, incorporating strategic client development, integrated marketing campaigns, and profile-raising initiatives alongside core business development responsibilities.

Based in New York, you will play a key role in delivering the Americas strategy for these priority sectors, working closely with partners, sector leadership, and global M&BD teams. The role has a particular emphasis on high-growth areas including Fintech, Insurtech, and Digital Assets, offering exposure to cutting-edge developments across the financial services landscape.

We are keen to speak with individuals with Business Development and Marketing experience within a law firm or professional services environment. Prior exposure to financial institutions, insurance, or broader financial services sectors will be highly advantageous.

We are open to candidates stepping into a Manager role as well as established Managers seeking a broader, more strategic and globally integrated remit.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead and execute business development initiatives across the Financial Institutions and Insurance sectors, aligning with regional and global growth strategies
• Drive client targeting and relationship development, identifying cross-selling opportunities and supporting partners in expanding key accounts
• Oversee the delivery of high-quality pitches, proposals, and RFP responses, including strategy development, content creation, and post-pitch analysis
• Develop and implement integrated marketing and profile-raising campaigns to enhance visibility across priority markets and clients
• Lead the planning and execution of client events, roadshows, and industry engagement initiatives, ensuring strong ROI and client impact
• Collaborate closely with global M&BD teams and sector leadership to ensure a coordinated, cross-border approach to business development
• Manage directory and award submissions, ensuring consistent and strategic positioning in key rankings
• Support client account management initiatives, including responsibility for key strategic clients
• Contribute to wider M&BD projects, including sector programmes and lateral integration initiatives
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and inform strategic decision-making
