Business Development Manager - Consumer

I'm excited to be partnering with a leading global law firm as they look to hire a Marketing & Business Development Manager to support their globally renowned Consumer sector.

In this role, you will work closely with senior leadership, partners, and global M&BD teams to develop and deliver strategic initiatives that enhance the firm's market position across key Consumer industries, including retail, food & beverage, fashion, and luxury. You'll play a central role in shaping and executing campaigns, driving client engagement, and identifying growth opportunities across the sector. This is a highly visible, hands-on position that will allow you to take ownership of global strategy while collaborating with a world-class team.

I'm keen to connect with professionals who bring strong experience in legal or professional services business development, ideally with exposure to Consumer-facing industries. Beyond that, this individual should be proactive, commercially minded, and confident working across stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of global marketing and BD strategies aligned with the firm's broader objectives and sector priorities
• Drive pitch strategy and support the preparation of high-quality proposals, RFPs, and client-facing materials
• Oversee profile-raising initiatives, including campaigns, thought leadership, events, and directory submissions
• Support client development efforts, including client feedback programs and strategic account management
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver impactful events, sponsorships, and PR activity that strengthen market presence
• Monitor market trends, client performance, and opportunities to inform strategic decisions and drive growth
