Business Development Manager - Corporate

I'm extremely excited to be working with a leading international law firm on their search for a Business Development Manager to support the continued growth and success of its Corporate practice.

In this role, you'll work closely with senior lawyers and key stakeholders across the Corporate group to drive strategic business development initiatives focused on strengthening client relationships and further enhancing the practice's market position. The successful candidate will act as a trusted business partner, helping to shape and execute go-to-market strategies, support client targeting efforts, and deliver a broad range of marketing and business development activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to make a significant impact while working within a collaborative, high-performing, and forward-thinking environment.

I'm particularly interested in speaking with professionals who have prior legal business development experience, ideally supporting Corporate or transactional practices within a law firm environment. Equally important is a proactive and commercial mindset, strong project management capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and the confidence to build relationships with senior stakeholders while collaborating effectively across a wider marketing and business development team.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to pitches, proposals, RFP responses, and other new business opportunities, partnering with lawyers and colleagues to deliver high-quality, tailored submissions.
• Support strategic client development and cross-selling initiatives by helping to identify opportunities, execute go-to-market plans, and drive pursuit activity across the practice.
• Manage and enhance the practice's experience and credentials resources, ensuring key matters and capabilities are effectively captured and leveraged to support future business development efforts.
• Oversee legal directory, league table, and awards submissions, partnering with lawyers and communications professionals to maximise external profile and market recognition.
• Coordinate and deliver a range of client-facing and profile-raising activities, including events, sponsorships, conferences, webinars, and other business development initiatives.
