Senior Business Development Manager, Litigation- Washington, DC

A globally renowned law firm operating at the intersection of technology, capital, and regulation is seeking top talent. The firm advises a diverse client base from fast-growing innovators to many of the world's largest public and private companies and is especially recognized for the depth and strength of its Litigation and Regulatory practices.

They are hiring a Senior Manager of Business Development for their Litigation Business Unit. In this senior role within the Strategy & Marketing team, you will work closely with the Director of Business Development Strategy and partners to drive growth and enhance the firm's market presence.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic business development and marketing initiatives to support the growth of the Litigation Business Unit
  • Partner with the Director of Business Development Strategy and cross-functional teams to advance firmwide and practice-specific objectives
  • Advise lawyers on effective client pitch strategies, positioning, and messaging
  • Research prospective clients, industries, competitors, and market trends to inform strategy and proposals
  • Create and manage compelling pitch materials, proposals, and presentations tailored to client needs
  • Lead and coordinate strategic client events, sponsorships, and other profile-raising initiatives
  • Manage and prepare lawyer directory submissions and rankings to enhance the firm's market visibility
  • Support brand development and reputation-building efforts for the litigation practice across key markets
  • Oversee multiple high-priority projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to attorneys, fostering collaboration and driving business development best practices



This role is ideal for a law firm BD professional with 8+ years' experience, particularly with litigation exposure, who thrives in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment. Strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and a collaborative, proactive approach are essential.

The salary range is highly competitive, $190k-$220k, depending on experience.
