BD Manager - Energy & Natural Resources

We're excited to be partnering with a global Am Law powerhouse in its search for a Business Development Manager supporting the Energy & Natural Resources sector. In this role, you will help drive some of the firm's most strategic growth initiatives-working directly with sector and practice leadership, partners, and BD colleagues across the firm to strengthen client relationships, shape go-to-market strategies, and deliver measurable revenue impact.

This position may be based in any of the firm's major U.S. offices-including Washington DC, New York, Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia, San Diego, Seattle and more-offering a hybrid work schedule.

We'd love to speak with experienced Business Development and Marketing professionals from law firms or other professional services environments. Familiarity with the Energy & Natural Resources sector or sustainability-focused areas is highly preferred.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Partner with senior sector leadership to develop and execute annual strategic plans centered on client growth and market expansion.
  • Identify new business opportunities, manage the pipeline, and help drive cross-practice collaboration around key industry issues and trends.
  • Lead client targeting initiatives and develop thought-leadership programs, campaigns, and content that highlight the firm's industry expertise.
  • Shape strategic RFP responses and win themes in partnership with Pursuits, Pricing, and senior BD colleagues.
  • Collaborate with Communications to ensure strong visibility across media, rankings, directories, and digital channels.
  • Develop client-specific playbooks, account plans, and dashboards-tracking revenue and engagement across priority relationships.
  • Mentor junior team members and help manage the sector's marketing budget in alignment with strategic goals.
