Business Development Manager (M&A)

We're excited to partner with a global Am Law top 25 firm in its search for a Business Development Manager to support its top-tier Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) practice. In this position, based in New York, you will act as a strategic advisor to partners across the firm, helping to shape and execute integrated business development and marketing strategies that drive revenue growth, deepen client relationships, and enhance market visibility on a global scale.

We would love to speak with individuals who bring strong business development and marketing experience from a law firm or professional services environment. Prior experience supporting the M&A vertical would be favourably looked upon.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the creation of pitches, RFP responses, and deal lists from concept to completion-ensuring each deliverable is customized to the opportunity and effectively highlights the practice group's strengths.
  • Support business development initiatives for both the M&A Group.
  • Collaborate with senior BD team members and practice leaders on cross-selling strategies and client targeting efforts, including activities tied to the firm's priority client program.
  • Assist with practice group meetings by preparing agendas, capturing key discussion points, and ensuring follow-up on action items.
  • Continuously track and analyze current and potential clients, competitor movements, and broader industry or market developments.
