Business Development Manager - New York or Washington DC

Job description

We are delighted to be engaged by a US firm who are seeking to hire someone either in their New York or Washington DC office. This position is newly created within the firms expanding Marketing team and will have a diverse remit including Marketing, Business Development and rather excitingly defining and implementing the firms client relationship programme, something we believe will be appealing to lot's of individuals.

The firm are also very well established in some really interesting areas, including the consumer, media & entertainment alongside more traditional practice areas such as employment and litigation. This variety should really add to the scope and diversity of the role.

Core Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the CMO and partnership on implementing an effective client relationship programme across the firms sectors. This will need to be tailored to deliver in a variety of markets as explained above.
  • Be responsible for coming up with plans and ideas to enhance the firms brand and reputation, across multiple US locations, this will also include working on a 1:1 basis with certain partners within the firm too.
  • Take on more traditional marketing and business development tasks as and when needed throughout the year, including events, bids, directories etc.
  • Be a mentor to some of the more junior individuals within the team, helping to develop their professional careers.

We would also like to highlight that the firm is open to more flexible working requests, however we can't offer it as fully remote, but would welcome discussions on this. As the role is newly created and reporting directly into the CMO, we are keen to enhance the future mid-long term career opportunities on offer within the firm too.
