Business Development Manager - Venture Capital

Job description

We are excited to be working on a new Business Development Management position for a US law firm covering the Venture Capital and M&A practices. The role will also have the responsibility of managing a specialist aligned to this team and taking on some exciting projects for the firm within this space across the North American market. We would be very keen to engage in conversations with individuals who are current managers and also professionals who are operating within the Legal sector and are looking for their first management position.

Core responsibilities include;

  • with the firms attorneys on the client relationship piece, putting together a tailored client plan for the firms existing client base within this space, ensuring the client is receiving the best service from the firm. You will also have the responsibility of tracking potential new clients for the firm within the Venture Capital and M&A arena.
  • tandem with the Senior Manager for the group, put together and implement the business plan and marketing strategy for the group. It will be important to be able to analytically track the marketing spend to report on ROI to the firm and implement changes as necessary.
  • with the practice leadership team on a variety of profile raising initiatives and campaigns, working on group wide projects but also individual attorneys in specific markets.
  • involved in coaching partners on a variety of business development tasks, you will also play a part in lateral partner integration within the practice.

We feel this is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in the VC and M&A space, however specific technical knowledge is not essential to be considered for the role.
