Client Relationship Specialist

An elite global law firm is in search of a Client Relationship Specialist as part of its broader Clients & Industry program. In this position, based in New York City, you will play a critical role in cultivating Key and/or Priority client relationships. This role entails working with experienced client relationship professionals across the firm's global offices, to strategize and execute business development and marketing activities that create institutional client relationships and drive profitable revenue growth.

We would love to speak with proactive, self-directed, and seasoned business development individuals, preferably with experience within a law firm and/or large international organization. Prior experience working with stakeholders in an international law firm or professional services firm on client development activities would make for the ideal candidate.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Strategically planning with Global Relationship Partners (or equivalent) to set and execute business and relationship development goals;
• Acting as the central point of contact and resource on relationships for internal and external stakeholders;
• Taking the lead on business development initiatives to pursue profitable opportunities in new locations and practice areas;
• Managing the secondment process (from creating the business case, to prepping the candidate, to checking in, to debriefing and following up on agreed action items);
• Coordinating efforts across business services to support ongoing relationship efforts through value-adding services and related cross-functional management; and
• Assessing financial management of practices and clients, and recommending actions to address financial targets.
