Marketing & Business Development Manager

Job description

We are delighted to be working with one our longstanding global legal clients to help recruit a Marketing & Business Development Manager to work across their Antitrust, Competition and International trade practice, an area that is regarded as 'global elite' in the market. The position will operate across the US but will also work with colleagues based across the EMEA region, giving this position a truly global feel.

The role will have a primary focus upon the Antitrust and Competition areas but will also cover the Intl trade and Investment, plus government relations, which will give the role plenty of diversity on a day to day basis, which we feel should prove attractive within the market.

Core responsibilities that are included within the role;

  • Take the lead on the strategy development for the practice group, this will involve you leading on market research & client and market trends for the group ensuring that the firm is up to date and positioned in the most effective manner within the market.
  • Be responsible for managing the BD budgets and developing and implementing the practice business plans.
  • Working with wider colleagues within the Marketing & Brand team, to coordinate and deliver compelling marketing campaigns and projects to target audiences.
  • Together with the global PR team, be involved with profile raising initiatives for the firm more broadly alongside more target profile raising for specific groups of attorneys.
  • Be involved with the client relationship and development aspect of high value existing clients within the group, working with the fee earners on ensuring 'best in class' service levels are received by this client group.

I would welcome individuals who are currently operating in the broader litigation space, we are open to this person being a current manager or someone seeking to take the step up, hence the salary banding being broad to encourage applications at both levels. The firm does have a tremendous track record of internal promotion and progression opportunities so we feel it would be able to offer mid-long term career longevity for individuals joining at either level.

The firm also offers a hybrid working policy, with 3 days in the office and 2 flexible days per week.
