PR Manager

We are working with a global law firm on a search for public relations manager for their DC office, a role which will form part of their global communications function. The role will work closely with colleagues based in the US and cover a variety of different practice groups, including Technology, IP & Life Sciences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead public relations efforts to elevate the firm's profile across Regulatory, IPMT, Energy, and Life Sciences sectors, with a focus on Washington D.C. and key Americas offices.
• Collaborate globally with Marketing & Business Development (M&BD) and internal teams to shape and implement visibility strategies.
• Build strong relationships with local, national, and industry media; support spokespeople; coordinate press outreach, interviews, and media briefings.
• Identify news opportunities, manage media coverage, and produce high-quality content including press releases, articles, and briefing notes.
• Support firm-wide and lateral hire announcements; contribute to awards submissions and major communications campaigns alongside the PR team.
• Manage PR reporting, monitor competitor activities, and guide the work of the firm's PR agency to ensure strategic alignment and high-impact outcomes.
• Deliver media training for lawyers, pursue ongoing professional development, and promote the firm's global Responsible Business initiatives.
