I'm partnering with a globally renowned law firm known for its work at the intersection of technology, capital, and regulation. The firm advises a broad spectrum of clients from fast-growing innovators to some of the world's largest public and private companies and is especially recognized for the depth and excellence of its Corporate and Finance practices.

They are seeking an experienced and resourceful Senior Manager of Business Development Strategy to join their New York-based Strategy & Marketing team.

This individual will support the continued growth and success of the firm's Corporate and Finance practices, with a particular emphasis on Finance, and will play a key role in the development and execution of strategic business development and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise partners and senior lawyers on client pitch and pursuit strategies, including identifying opportunities and tailoring approaches
  • Develop and produce high-quality proposals, pitch materials, and capability statements, particularly for finance-related matters
  • Support and manage strategic events and client initiatives to enhance visibility and strengthen relationships
  • Coordinate submissions for lawyer directories, league tables, and awards
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and client intelligence to inform business development strategy
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities across Finance and related practices
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver firmwide business development and marketing initiatives
  • Track and support reporting on the effectiveness of BD activities and key performance metrics

This role requires a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, is comfortable managing multiple high-visibility projects on tight timelines, and brings strong to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, as well as familiarity with tools commonly used in the legal sector.

Salary range: highly competitive, $150,000-$230,000, depending on experience.
