Associate BD Director - Global Financial Markets

Ambition are excited to be supporting a global law firm with the recruitment for a new Associate Director position in their New York office to support one of their leading group; Global Financial Markets. This is a hugely exciting role for someone to lead the US function of the GFM group and play a pivotal role in the overall firmwide direction of the function.



You will be working with the global director and leadership team in the US to drive the strategy across the financial markets group, playing a strategic role in delivering and defining the marketing and business plans. Within the role you will also lead and be supported by an excellent team of business development professionals based in the New York office too.



Please see below some of the core duties;

  • Working with the Global Director and US leadership act in a key advisory capacity to deliver the marketing and business development strategy for the financial markets group, providing advice for the North American and Global markets.
  • Take the lead on the client relationship plans for the financial markets team, working with key stakeholders to maintain existing relationships for the firms core clients, whilst also providing strategic insight on potential new clients and cross selling potential.
  • Ensure that you provide mentorship and leadership guidance to the existing business development professionals that will report into you and help you lead the function. You will also act as key leader for the New York office.
  • Work with the central brand and communications team to enhance the firms overall positioning in the market and work with specific partner groups on profile raising too.
