BD Manager (Global Leveraged Finance & Private Capital)

An Am Law top 50 firm is in search of a Business Development Manager to support the firm's Global Leveraged Finance and Private Capital practices in their New York or Chicago office.

In this highly visible role, you will take the lead on strategizing and executing thought leadership initiatives, strengthening key client relationships, and identifying new opportunities to drive growth and enable lawyers to expand their influence in the market.

I would love to speak with professionals from law firms or other professional services institutions who excel at taking on business development and marketing efforts in corporate and/or finance-specific areas, ideally currently on the Senior Specialist or Manager level.

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop annual marketing and business development plans targeted towards thought-leadership platforms, communications, and client outreach;

• Conduct research and analysis and competitive intelligence-gathering in collaboration with other BD&M colleagues to facilitate the completion of profile-raising initiatives on behalf of the industry group;
• Oversee responses to RFPs, and pitch, presentation, and other opportunities for the industry group; and
• Manage processes for direct reports in relation to performance appraisals, annual compensation, goal setting, and performance counselling.
