Business Development & Marketing Director

We are delighted to be working with an global law firm to recruit a Marketing & Business Development Director professional to leading their America's Litigation, Arbitration & Employment group. This is a senior position within the firm and will join the existing Marketing & BD leadership team. The role will lead on all aspect of the Marketing & Business Development strategy for the group, leading a decent size team of 10 marketing professionals within the LAE group.



We would very much like to engage in conversation with experienced Marketing professionals who have experience within the LAE area & have managed teams previously within the Legal sector. Team and cultural fit is a hugely important aspect of the decision making process for the firm, as such we would welcome the opportunity to discuss this position with current Senior Managers/Associate Directors who are seeking their first Director position and those who are already operating at this level presently.





Overview of some duties included within the role;

  • and development of the LAE Business Development & Marketing strategy & business plan for the group, working with the Global Director to ensure alignment across multiple jurisdictions. You will also have a tailored plan for the America's market specifically too.
  • a leadership role in leading the existing Marketing & BD team, providing strategic support and guidance to individuals within the team, taking accountability and a keen interest in professional development of the staff within your team.
  • on the client relationship piece that affects the LAE group, identifying and advising the firm on potential cross selling opportunities, you will also work in tandem with the partners and key client managers to enhance the service the firm provides.
  • taking ownership for the Marketing & BD budgets, consulting and working with practice leaders, setting short term and long term objectives and goals. Take a proactive approach in reporting on the progress of these through the year.
  • the implementation of the campaigns programme, putting together innovative content ideas that will continue to raise the firms profile within specific targeted markets.
  • of the America's region, be involved with global LAE specific projects working with colleagues within the LAE area around the EMEA region,





The firm operates a hybrid working policy, with 3 days in the office and 2 flexible working days per week, We would also like to highlight the firms culture and working environment within the DC office as a big selling point for the firm.
