Pretium Legal Opportunities Fund
We have partnered with Pretium, a leading alternative investment management firm, who are looking to hire their first Business Development Director for the legal part of their established business. This role will focus upon the client development and relationship strategy, taking the lead on continuing to drive the firms existing relationships and also creating new potential opportunities for the partnership.
This high-impact, client-facing position will collaborate closely with senior leadership to craft and implement strategies that drive revenue growth from both new and existing clients.
We're seeking a dynamic leader who combines strategic vision with a hands-on approach-someone who can chart the course, build the roadmap, and actively drive execution. Someone who is genuinely excited about the client development and relationship piece, working with the partners to open doors and be the brand ambassador in the market.
The ideal candidate will bring experience from either within a law firm or wider professional services, someone who perhaps wants to take on a different challenge from the general practice BD role that you typically see in the market. An individual coming from one of the large consulting firms or financial services would also be attractive to the firm.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Establish, expand and manage relationships with law firm partners, corporate in-house counsel and other potential candidates for legal funding
- Research and maintain current knowledge of opportunities for speaking, writing and conferences in the field of litigation finance
- Prepare presentations for target clients
- Extensive networking
Knowledge and familiarity with litigation and legal finance is a plus. Confidence to build long lasting professional relationships externally and internally will be a core component in being successful in this role.
This position can only be based in NYC and offers a hybrid working schedule in the midtown office.
The compensation range is a base salary of $300K - $350K, with an enticing and appealing bonus structure to go with the base salary.
