Overview:
I'm very excited to be representing one of the very best and most respected law firms here in the US on their search to add a talented Business Development Manager to their growing team in New York City!
In this position, you will be a critical part of the growth and development of the firm's Corporate and Transactional teams and will work closely with Practice Chairs and other key stakeholders within the Business Development team. The preferred candidate will have a firm foundation of experience in the execution and development of client strategy, in addition to managing a law practice's marketing initiatives. We believe this provides an excellent opportunity for someone with a good level of experience within the industry, who is looking for more growth and a track to leadership as they further their career in Legal Business Development.
We would love to engage with professionals that have operated in a Business Development function within a Law Firm for a minimum of four (4) years of experience. Beyond that, this person must be enthusiastic about the opportunity and must lead by example for junior staff members.
Core Responsibilities:

  • Leverage knowledge and understanding of the market to provide high-class and catered marketing solutions to individual clients, you will also be tasked with evaluating current solutions to identify any gaps or areas for improvement
  • Leading responses for Pitches and RFP's
  • Work strategically with senior leadership to plan, develop and execute marketing strategies, programs, budgets and initiatives to suit individual clients needs
  • Identify areas of involvement for senior leadership and lawyers that can increase personal and professional brand awareness in the market
  • Liaise with the Communications team to curate website and practice specific content while working in conjunction with the Events team to plan and execute internal and external events and sponsorships.
