Business Development Manager

We're thrilled to exclusively partner with an elite global law firm in its search for a Business Development Manager to support the firm's Capital Markets and Structured Finance practices in the Americas.

Part of the firm's leading group by revenue, Global Financial Markets, you will work closely and globally with the firm's fee earners to identify, pursue, and win opportunities that generate revenue for the firm. You will also work in consonance with key stakeholders on their client development initiatives, playing a critical role in designing and executing Business Development strategies. We're pleased to confirm that this role will also be significantly events-oriented, which provides an exciting platform for organizing conferences, speaking events, etc.

I'd love to speak with highly organized and self-motivated Business Development professionals from within the legal space and/or the wider professional services. While subject-matter knowledge of financial markets would be ideal, I welcome the opportunity to speak with professionals from any practice area.

The role will work closely with the Associate Director based in New York, and offers brilliant scope for learning and development. The firm is open to a Specialist stepping up into their first managerial role, or a current Manager looking to make a lateral shift.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting research initiatives on product and market trends, prospective and existing clients, and competitors to design strategic marketing decisions;
  • Promoting BD strategies and initiatives with the wider Global Financial Markets practice and the firm at large;
  • The organisation of BD client events, seminars and conferences, sponsorships, PR, etc.;
  • Implementing innovation, technology and AI to promote operational efficiency across the team; and
  • Contribute tailored input into pitches and capability statements.
