Business Development Manager- Capital Markets

I'm excited to be working with a leading global law firm on their search to add an experienced Business Development Manager to support growth across its Capital Markets, Funds & Real Estate practices. This high‑visibility role works closely with partners, practice leadership, and key stakeholders to drive execution of business development initiatives, elevate the firm's market presence, and help shape the strategic direction of core transactional practices.

In this role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to attorneys and practice leadership, leading the execution of strategic BD priorities while contributing to a high‑performing team culture. This is an ideal role for a BDM who wants to deepen their strategic impact, manage a meaningful portfolio, and work cross‑functionally with related groups such as Private Equity, M&A, Finance, Restructuring, Funds, and Tax.

I'd love to speak with legal BDM professionals with strong experience supporting transactional practices, or Senior BD Specialist seeking to step into a leadership role. Additionally someone who is proactive, and enthusiastic about contributing to a high‑performing BD function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead BD strategy and execution for the Capital Markets, Funds, and Real Estate portfolios, supporting growth initiatives and measurable performance.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans, partnering with practice leadership to translate department priorities into clear workflows, initiatives, and targeted BD actions.
  • Manage pitches, RFPs, and presentation materials, ensuring strategic alignment, compelling messaging, and coordination across internal teams.
  • Oversee lateral partner integration for the practices, including BD onboarding and development of customized integration plans.
  • Manage marketing collateral, website content, and experience materials, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with firm branding.
  • Lead directories and awards submissions, including Chambers and Legal 500, ensuring positioning aligns with practice strengths and strategic goals.
