Business Development Manager - Energy & Real Estate

We are delighted to be working with an international firm headquartered in New York to recruit a Business Development manager to work in a brand new role covering both the Energy and Real Estate practice groups. The role will be reporting into and impressive BD Director and have the ability to manage a couple of junior colleagues also based in the New York office.

Hiring individuals with a collaborative and team culture is hugely important to us, so we are open to idea of someone who is a current BDM or an individual stepping into a management position for the first time, we have positioned the salary range to reflect this desire too. Given the role is also reporting into a Director it should give someone the platform for great mid-long term career development and progression opportunities too.

Key responsibilities included within the position:

  • Take the lead on devising and developing the Marketing & Business Development plans for the Energy and Real Estate groups, working alongside the Director on wider BD team to deliver on the firms key objective for the practice areas.
  • Working as the primary point of contact for the groups, put together profile raising objectives for the team, by creating thought provoking content that could be used in industry specific publications. You will also be able to look at sponsorship opportunities and events tailored to achieve these goals too.
  • Be responsible for keeping the group up to date with market intelligence and industry trends, to enable the firm to react to market conditions and keep the firm positioned in the best manner with the existing client base and potential new clients.
  • Become a market specialist and key advisor to the partnership across this area, also take a keen interest in development and mentoring the junior staff under your guidance.
  • General BD activities to support the firm across directory submissions and deal tracking, as and when required for the firm.
