Business Development Manager (Investment Management Group)

We've partnered with Am Law top 20 firm in its search for a Business Development Manager to support the firm's Investment Management Group.

Based in its New York City office, this role works closely with partners and other attorneys, as well as the Business Development (Senior) Manager on the group, across a broad spectrum of new business and client relationship-building activities. You would also oversee client pitches, RFP's, presentations, events, sponsorships, legal rankings, league table submissions, and other business development activities.

I would love to speak with professionals from law firms or other professional services institutions who excel at taking the lead on business development and marketing efforts in corporate and/or finance-specific areas, currently on the Senior Specialist or Manager level. The ideal candidate has an understanding of Investment Management and Private Funds, seeking to deepen their expertise in this area.

Core Responsibilities:

• Strategic review of content development for targeted presentations, proposals and pitch materials;
• Oversee complex pitch requests and RFPs;
• Conduct competitive analysis, including analyzing client's and competitor's market trends by leveraging relevant industry research and news resources (e.g., S&P Capital IQ, LSEG, Bloomberg, Mergermarket and Pitchbook) to monitor market trends and insights, competitor activity, etc;
• Cross-functionally work with PR and Marketing teams to promote the Investment Management practice both internally and externally.
