Job description
A prestigious global law firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to support its Business Litigation Practice Group. This role offers the opportunity to lead strategic marketing and business development efforts for a high-performing, cross-disciplinary team handling complex litigation matters.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies, managing pitches and proposals, coordinating client targeting programs, and supporting events, sponsorships, and legal directory submissions. The role also involves maintaining marketing materials, facilitating internal communications, and collaborating across practice areas to identify cross-selling opportunities.
Candidates should have at least seven years of experience in a similar role within a law firm, strong project management capabilities, and a thoughtful, business-oriented approach. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms is required, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to support cross-selling opportunities within the Business Litigation Practice Group, working closely with key stakeholders to identify and pursue growth areas.
- Lead client targeting initiatives by organizing pursuit activities, tracking engagement, and reporting on outcomes to ensure strategic alignment and measurable impact.
- Create compelling, value-driven content for pitches, presentations, and RFP responses, managing the drafting and coordination process to support new business efforts.
- Plan and manage firm-hosted business development events-including webinars, receptions, and client outings-handling logistics, materials, participant tracking, and post-event follow-up.
- Oversee legal directory and league ranking submissions and collaborate with the PR team to prepare matter summaries and award-related content that enhances the firm's visibility.
I feel the current salary banding is competitive within the market, however, if you are looking for something above this range, we are open to discuss further.
