Business Development Manager - M&A
Job description
We are working with an AmLaw Top 20 firm seeking a strategic and collaborative Business Development Manager to support the growth of their M&A practice. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and is passionate about driving business initiatives forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior BD leaders and M&A Partners to implement business development strategies and action plans that align with firm-wide objectives.
- Lead the creation of pitches, RFP responses, and internal presentations; maintain up-to-date business development materials including practice descriptions and engagement lists.
- Collaborate with Communications to support PR initiatives and manage client-facing events such as speaking engagements, networking opportunities, and media outreach.
- Conduct research on industry trends, client analysis, and competitive insights; oversee submissions to legal directories and publications.
- Supervise junior BD team members, lead onboarding and mentoring efforts, and manage cross-functional projects supporting key client initiatives.
