Marketing & Business Development Manager (Litigation)

Job description

An Am Law top 100 firm is in search of a Business Development Manager to support the firm's Litigation groups, with a focus on the Class Actions & Mass Torts practice. As a part of the firmwide marketing and business development group, this role will play a critical role in developing effective business development initiatives globally.

In this global role, you will take the lead on driving growth and enabling attorneys to expand their influence in the market through research-driven growth initiatives, working alongside practice group leaders and sector team leaders. This position entails close collaboration with attorneys to develop client communications, identify new potential clients, implement practice-specific branding and PR, draft and provide guidance on client proposals and presentations, and plan events that support practice and regional goals.

I would love to speak with professionals based in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, or St. Louis, who excel at taking on business development and marketing efforts in a legal setting, ideally currently on the Senior Specialist or Manager level.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing marketing ideas, strategies and opportunities that further the brand of the Class Actions & Mass Torts practice group across the firm;
  • Proactively strategizing and presenting initiatives for business development to practice leaders and assist in the execution of approved plans;
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for overseeing lateral integration plans for the practice group;
  • Oversee responses to RFPs, and pitch, presentation, and other opportunities for the industry group; and
  • Working alongside the Research Intelligence Team and other firm resources to facilitate competitive intelligence and marketing research reports.
