Senior Business Development Manager

We are delighted to be partnering with a Amlaw 100 firm to recruit a Senior Business Development Manager into a newly created role focusing on the M&A sector on a global basis. This role is part of the continued investment into the firms Marketing function and will be working closely with the newly appointed Director of Business Development, who we know well.

Given we are focusing on individuals having a prior background in covering M&A we would like to welcome engagement from individuals operating currently operating at Senior BDM or BDM level. Within the role you will also have the opportunity to manage a team and given you will be working closely with the firms leadership, we also believe that the position will offer great mid-long term personal and professional development for you.

Core duties included within the role;

  • Working in tandem with the Business Development Director, put together and execute the firms business development and Marketing plans for the M&A sector, managing and implementing the budget and spend. You will also provide feedback on ideas for changes to ensure the best ROI.
  • Provide ownership and leadership of client relationship development, taking the lead on managing the firms core existing client relationships, ensuring that this support is provided on a US and global basis.
  • Take the lead in evaluating the firms current strengths and weaknesses in the M&A market, and tailor a plan to enhance and emphasise the firms strengths and come up with innovative ideas on how to continue to raise the firms profile in this market.
  • Oversee and be responsible for an array of traditional marketing requirements, including coordinating and facilitating, events, rfps and broader marketing campaigns and projects for the group.
  • Given the nature of the newly created role you will also work with the BD Director in setting best practices for the group, that will upskill the marketing functions efforts within the M&A space.
